DEFORREST JUDD

[1919-1993]

“Place to Picnic”, 1953 | 28”x38” - oil on masonite

DeForrest Judd created a stylized Colorado landscape by simplifying the elements of mountain topography into geometric forms, using arbitrary colors of blue, turquoise, yellow and black to create a fantastical, yet recognizable Western landscape.
